August has been a busy month in the Data Mesh Learning community. We’ve hosted some engaging discussions, published new videos to our YouTube channel, and launched a new program for community members to become more involved. Read on for more details!
Data Mesh Learning Deputy Program
We’re very excited to announce the Data Mesh Learning Deputy Program, which recognizes members of the data mesh community who are helpful, engaged and actively participating in activities that help educate users along their data mesh journey. If you are passionate about data mesh or have been on a data mesh journey and have knowledge to share, we encourage you to apply to become a Data Mesh Learning Deputy today!
Deadline Extended! Data Mesh Survey Closes September 8
If you’re are pursuing data mesh at your company–no matter what stage--please take our short survey to help your peers understand what worked for you (and what didn’t): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DMLjourney
We have extended the survey deadline to midnight PT on Friday, September 8.
The aggregated insights will be shared with the community to help others with best practices and learnings. Results will be previewed at the DML Meetup @ Big Data London on September 20 and delivered in a whitepaper shortly thereafter. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!
Data Mesh Days
We hosted the first-ever Data Mesh Days event in May, with a focus on data mesh implementations and best practices for life sciences. The event was live-streamed and recorded for viewing on demand. You can find the full event including individual session recordings on the Data Mesh Days YouTube playlist.
Hosted by the Data Mesh Learning community, Data Mesh Days provide a vendor-neutral space where data leaders and practitioners can gather to share and learn about data mesh. Each event will focus on a different industry, and our next event will be held in October with a focus on financial services!
Data Mesh Roundtables
We have been hosting a weekly series of roundtable discussions to cover all things data mesh; the discussions are facilitated by Scott Hirleman and Jean-Georges Perrin. Data mesh roundtables are virtual, video calls open to anyone who wants to join and participate. You can find recordings of these discussions on the Data Mesh Learning YouTube channel.
Don’t miss our next roundtable later this week!
