May was an exciting month for the Data Mesh Learning community. We hosted our first Data Mesh Days event as well as a panel discussion on becoming a Data Mesh engineer. We also saw several insightful discussions surface on the Data Mesh Learning Slack channels.
Data Mesh Days
This month we hosted the first-ever Data Mesh Days event with a focus on data mesh implementations and best practices for life sciences. Data Mesh Days provide a vendor-neutral space where data leaders and practitioners gather to share best practices and use cases, forge critical relationships, and learn about advancements in data mesh.
The inaugural event included 5 presentations and a breakout session for attendees to meet each other and share learnings. You can watch a replay of the event here and read a recap of it on the blog.
Each Data Mesh Day will focus on a different industry vertical and will showcase talks from end users and others in the industry who are implementing Data Mesh. Our next Data Mesh Days will focus on Financial Services; stay tuned for more information in an upcoming newsletter.
Local Data Mesh Learning Meetups
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new meetup program for the Data Mesh Learning community! Data Mesh Learning Meetups aim to unite Data Mesh enthusiasts and professionals to share their knowledge, experiences, and ideas with one another.
